My kiddo had a good pick for the record this evening. Kelly Finnigan’s voice is so soothing.

Switching to #MapQuest to spite #Google or send a message? The MapQuest you printed directions from is gone. An ad company owns it now. The free app tracks you across apps and wants your contacts.

Consider jumping to Organic Maps or OsmAnd instead.

Hooked up my PS4 to watch movies. I’ve been getting back into getting physical discs of stuff I enjoy watching. The thrift store has been a great place to find random ones on the cheap. Where else do people buy movies these days?

A parenting superpower that they don’t tell you about is the ability to tell if your child has an elevated temperature just by a kiss on the forehead. It makes me feel connected.

School meals should be free for everybody. Charging children to eat somewhere they are legally required to be for the entire day is crazy.

If you have a physical music collection, just go fishing through it once in a while. Have a big ol' rummage, get all your CDs, tapes, vinyl, whatever, out on the floor and just look through em. Bang a few on, read some liner notes, it's just magic, honestly.

Hey, tomorrow is Bandcamp Friday and all proceeds of Beauty Pill music will go to Care.org. They fight hunger and poverty and we need people like that.

I wish I could afford to do this kind of thing all the time.

Please share.

Assholes who make fun of people eulogizing their dogs:

There aren't many places for folks to do that, and it's a big moment in some people's lives they weren't exactly ready for.

So shut the hell up and let them do it.

We bought a dvd copy of Annie from the thrift store. My kiddo has already watched it over a dozen times. Her favorite part is Carol Burnett’s song near the beginning. I’m not sick of it yet, but I will get there.

I sit here actively thinking how long I can go without buying more groceries.

That’s where we are.

That’s every average American now.

We are all trying to figure how long we can go.

We are dreading anything running low.

The olive oil is low.

I’m trying not to think about it.
