The Indiana Fever needs to move the team to another city and leave those fans behind. I was happy to see the Fever defeat the Aces but it was entirely sullied by what happened to A'ja. And that the security team didn't think it was important enough to escort him out of the building is just shameful.

#Vigil needs to be better. Plots that can hold water. Better dialogue. Solid characterisations. More realistic relationship issues and conversations, instead of making something out of nothing for the sake relationship tension.

Checking the #FIBA website for info on the women's basketball world cup. What a mess of AI slop. I can't believe it saved anyone much time. Just a horrible UX design.

Medicare for All is the guarantee of healthcare from cradle to grave—without premiums, copays, or deductibles. That’s it. Pass it.

Just read Candace Buckner's @theathletic.com piece on the WNBA's drama and made the mistake of reading the Comments section. It's barely a step up from YouTube's and some of those guys (b/c they're almost always men) sound like they took a wrong turn on their way to Twitter. Won't do that again.

A good commissioner steps in now before every WNBA game becomes a rightwing performance space, like school board meetings were during peak CRT. You just have to throw the hammer down on this. Do not give them an inch.

The lies from this GOP cannot get any more bald-faced. It’s not even gaslighting atp
@nytimes.com - please don't print lies in the newspaper, and if you do -- give readers context. The pre-war status quo was an open Strait.

I'm a big fan of all of #TheDailyShow hosts, but Desi Lydic is consistently the sharpest and most entertaining. Knocking it out of the park this week, as usual.

It's 2026, #Rivals buried their emerging gay and one of the best characters on the show. Badly done at that as so much felt contrived. Claire Rushbrook was brilliant and killing her off at the height of her character's arc was cruel and frankly, stupid. Weak writing – I may be done with this show.

Here's a news clip from 1935. A lot of Americans today have no use for history, so they don’t know it's an echo of the past when a dictator calls an entire ethnic group “garbage” and posts an AI image of himself as Jesus Christ.

NPR is honestly starting Pride month off right with this story.

Yes, dismantling workplace anti discrimination laws, tools, and rules is related to Pride month.

It’s not only a reminder that Pride is a protest and that an attack on one marginalized group is an attack on us all.
One by one, U.S. civil rights agency dismantles tools to fight discrimination
The EEOC is seeking to overturn rules created decades ago to tackle discrimination in employment. The Trump administration says those rules have led to more discrimination —against white people.

One of the more misogynistic takes currently trending in the AI policy space is "women use less AI than men because they have less tech literacy" Ok but have you considered that women use less AI than men because we have more tech literacy?

#TheBoys really went all out with the metaphors this week. Loved the series ending, even though I don't like who they sacrificed. It wasn't wrapped up in a bow, though, as it shouldn't have been.

One thing that makes me really sad is that there wasn’t a massive non-cooperation movement that rose up instantly for Colbert, the way it did for Kimmel. I know the circumstances were different and I am not begrudging Jimmy anything. Loved him since I was 16. I’m just saying Colbert deserved it too.

Should be on front pages every day until people are held accountable.

I know, that’s a laugh.
The NYT reported that the firm building Trump's ballroom received a no-bid contract for $17.4 million.

I earlier revealed the same company got nearly 2X that — $34 million — in a separate no-bid contract to demolish historic buildings at DHS headquarters. www.theredoubt.net/exclusive-no...

I'm sure Tucker Carlson will understand that while it's great to apologize for the tremendous harm he's played a key part, his followers should forever question his judgement. If you believe him, it's terrible. If you don't, same thing.

Despite the criminal reffing last night, South Carolina deserved the win over UConn ::sob:: But I really wanted to see a UConn v UCLA final. South Carolina's defense is no joke, but UCLA is rolling over them. Not a terribly inspired game.
