Our culture has such a reliance on art, mixed with so much disdain for artists' lives. Someone throws soup at a painting in a gallery or whatever and everyone acts like it's a literal murder, but that level of sympathy is for the object, almost never for the living conditions of artists.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but constant, chaotic, unfiltered news and social media can overwhelm the mind—flooding your attention, stirring up emotions, and making it hard to think clearly.
