Being on the internet long enough will teach you just how much racism is in EVERYTHING.

EVEN IN THE THINGS YOU CARE ABOUT MOST, AND YOU GOTTA LOCK IN AND STOMP THAT SHIT DOWN!

in 2022 I wrote a movie called Route 0. It was submitted to festivals, bounced around a little while, some people read it. Ultimately rejected? But SOMEONE liked it because it was stolen and turned into a movie

Thing is, I know why we’re online. Being trans irl is hard and often devoid of positive reinforcement. But you gotta wonder what sort of lives the cis het neo-libs on here must live. They could go have fun lives free of any worries in any space or job and are instead here fighting with trannies

If your political party can't beat a guy whose brain barely functions to the point, he shits himself on live tv and frequently forgets where he is, without sacrificing vulnerable minorities,

What do you think that says about your party??

I made this design in 2019, and it’s been ripped off by countless creepy little Temu shops, as well as by Shein.

Seeing it in an AI ad is ruining my day, ngl.

If you like it, buy one from me - link in bio. I actually give money to queer mutual aid and medical care groups.

There’s a bizarre contrarianism in the Democratic Party, where, if an idea catches on with the base it’s treated as presumptively unreasonable forever. Not even an effort to *appear* to be supportive. Politicians used to pander!

The midterms are shaping up to be a referendum on whether trans people should exist, with Republicans saying we shouldn't and Democrats saying maybe Republicans have a point on some of these issues.

Good luck, everybody!

this is what we're all telling you. a democratic majority that includes talarico and others like him is more dangerous to us. because the 'reasonable' versions of anti-trans bills will get written and passed and you all will go back to brunch and not care. you don't care what happens to us.

"but talarico's voting record was good..."

liberals should read what he actually said. he said that his votes were based on republican overreach in those bills but that he wants to write better ones. he literally is saying that in a democratic majority he will help write new anti-trans bills.

This is what has happened with Labour in the UK. Most people don't believe that Labour could be transphobic - they aren't the Tories or Reform after all - and refuse to see it, and they are the most transphobic government of my life.

So much harder to fight against, so much more damage done.

I find it interesting how some of the criticism I've received focuses on Talarico and not, say, Acton or Turek or Davis, whose anti-trans statements, votes, or stances are far worse than Talarico's.

Talarico wasn't even in my original article, which was written before he said dumb stuff.

(OOC: I do in fact think that Will Stancil is a transphobe.

"The trans rights activists are extremists who bully the reasonable teans people and allies into silence, because they would agree with me otherwise." That's literally old GC agitprop, straightforward bigoted conspiracism)

(OOC: you don't need to agree with Reed or Caraballo or whoever else to recognize that they're very dedicated, very informed, that they're immersed in real trans communities, and they're trying to help trans people. Suggesting that cohort is motivated by cynical clout chasing is bigoted conspiracy)

(OOC: Stancil is functionally akin to a Gamer Gater, but his "ethics in games journalism" is "the TRA extremists are silencing the good transes". His view of trans politics totally revolves around his conspiracism towards civil rights activists and journalists, his belief that they're sinister)

Liberal Currents love running cover for serial transmisogynists, including one that this very year helped run a trans rape survivor off this website. Transfems haven't forgotten.

A WHOLE LOT of trans people are citing to the last decade of UK politics as a reason they think anti-trans Dems winning is worse FOR THEM than anti-trans Repubs. And a whole lot of US liberals aren't engaging with that example at all while pontificating about why trans people are wrong and stupid.

I'm not sure Will, who is THE ONE CIS PERSON I SHOULD LISTEN TO? do you hear how ridiculous that sounds? trans ppl have varied opinions on many issues. where they tend to converge is on us being treated equally & fairly, not being delegitimized & discarded. if many disagree w/you, perhaps that's why

See more Dems need to learn to do this, which I’ll call the “politically correct” answer.

It’s not supportive of trans people, but it’s also not feeding into rightwing narratives about trans rights and trans people merely existing.

It’s politically correct specifically because it’s neutral
WATTERS & EL-SAYED.

Watters: Do you think men should play women's sports?

El-Sayed: I'm running for U.S. Senate. It's insane. I'm out here trying to take on the health care crisis and big pharma, and you're asking me about who gets to play what sports. It's silly. People can't take you seriously.

The vitriol directed at me and other members of the trans community for having the audacity to declare our votes are not to be taken for granted.

By cisgender people who otherwise have called themselves allies.

I wish it weren’t so utterly predictable.

i kept mum on parton, curry, & steinem's deaths, but robin morgan was the one who at the west coast lesbian conference in 1973 declared trans women to be dangers to lesbians and was one of the foremost misogynists towards trans women in the second wave, her legacy will be forever tainted by this.
