Call me Charlie. Some years ago - never mind how long precisely - having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me online, I thought I would surf about a little and see the less loony part of the world.
I eat chicken the same way and I've never won a damn thing.

It’s very important to know you can just tell them their questions are dumb. It’s what Trump does! He’s been very successful at it! The media decided to stop asking actual important things to him because of it!

This is true, and I think it’s worth adding that MAHA is based on the idea that there are healthcare options out there that are guaranteed to work and aren’t unpleasant that “they” don’t want you to know about. The lie is that there are miracles out there that don’t make you face tradeoffs.
I guess it’s important to communicate that MAHA is fundamentally an movement by individuals to capture health care dollars by lying to people about having products and services that work
When my wife’s Meta algorithms sniffed out that she’s pregnant a bunch of medical crankery started aggressively filing into her Facebook and Instagram feeds. “MAHA moms” happen because there is a lot of money being spent strategically preying on women going through a stressful experience.

College football now has its own version of the 1972 Olympic Gold Medal game in men's basketball. Just corruption all around.

Michigan picking a song about someone imagining their sexual humiliation as a *fight song* is one helluva choice. Anyway, Western Michigan trails them by one point entering the fourth quarter.

Trump’s best business insight is realizing there’s a huge market of people who want to let everyone around them know that they’re a giant asshole.

Didn't everyone give up on this franchise even prior to the James Gunn era? Some major "You can't fire me, I quit" energy from cinema's least energetic actress.

I picked up "y'all" as a kid during the 3 years I lived in North Carolina, so I don't care if people think it's performative for me to say it in a Midwestern accent. Plus, it serves a genuine function in the language.
Minor point but I really hate this performative “y’all” people do to try and appear more folksy. I don’t type in a Yorkshire accent and I did people would rightly tell me to shut up.

Kim Mulkey signed a player from Russia earlier this month. Last week, she said a "conflict between two countries" wouldn't stop her from improving her basketball team.

Now, Kate Koval, whose father serves in the Ukrainian military, is leaving LSU.

well the other thing though is Madison was quite clear that all his various structures would not work if the people lack virtue
Because they were *too* cynical and anticipated a equilbrium where eg: Congress would never relinquish their personal political power to the executive branch. A system built to set grubby power seekers against each other is cracking under the weight of sincere ideologues
The Founding Fathers anticipated a Trump like figure - and loaded the constitution with measures to stop them

What they didn't anticipate was that individuals would just chose not to fufil their functions

I'm not sure this is recognised enough or we've thought about how to prevent this in future

here is the thing. if you tell me that you believe that race is a biological category and that it is a guide to the objective superiority and inferiority of groups of people, i am not calling you a racist to *insult* you, i am calling you a racist because it best describes your beliefs.
not only that, they are demanding that they not be called racist when they are observed to be signing up to support the racist

Watson actually looked OK in the joint practice with the Bills Thursday, but this is the sort of thing that might make it impossible for Monken to actually play him. The Browns open with 2 road games, and an 0-2 start and Watson looking like crap in the process might just do it.
