Not for nothing, but I actually remember when gas hit $4/gal under W and people (even his supporters) were damn near burning him in effigy

A couple went on a Fox News podcast and claimed the state of #Massachusetts took away their teen because they won't help the teen transition. But it's actually because the father was charged with beating and threatening to kill the teen and the mother was charged with witness intimidation.

incredible — some Missouri ballots have already been mailed (off of the 6-2 map after two SCOTUS rulings) but the 8th Circuit just intervened to order the the 7-1 GOP gerrymander reinstated.

Not to be that teacher who is like "Shakespeare was the original rapper" but the history of classical music is *filled* with what is essentially sampling. My favorite Stravinsky piece is like 40% repurposed folk melodies.
friend told me a story about her dad’s college music class where they wrote different examples of classical compositions John Williams ripped off and John Williams showed up for a masterclass one day, saw it, went over to the blackboard and started adding more examples

this is not even a bit new, access to bathrooms especially has been a plank of every marginalized group’s fight for & civil liberties in the past 100+ years and if you’re a person falling for/a candidate messaging on “not in our spaces” right now, we know who you would’ve been in those fights, too.
