it's stupid to make human shaped factory robots. inefficient. within the auto industry, there's a reason the welding machines aren't a human arm holding a welding torch. these fools just want humanoid robots so they can replace human workers without the cost of rebuilding their facilities
Automakers have used robots for decades. But now most major companies are betting that humanoids — human-shaped robots — will usher in a new wave of automation and help them compete against their Chinese rivals. nyti.ms/4wjmJJp

When the cold war kids freak out about "communism" it's about totalitarian control - secret police, gulags, state control of media. We have that already

I would like to see more companies admit this - being a public company no longer means running a successful, thriving business. It strictly means delivering growth to investors, every single quarter, who do not care at all about the product the company sells or the people who produce it.

"... to singularly focus on the long-term health of the company and less on satisfying the requirements of the public market, which have nothing to do with being a successful game publisher."

This is a statement I can get behind

public restrooms should be only toilets, but at larger venues, they can have a side room with one of those big trough urinals for like 8 people to piss abreast

At some point business people* stopped thinking that they need to make quality and affordable products and started demanding that their businesses deserve to exist just because they want them to

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

we at xbox are coming to terms with the AI-fueled hardware crunch, which we helped create, failing to meet profit margins, that we made up, declining software sales, because we're self-cannibalizing our games specifically, and also everyone hates us which, believe it or not, also our fault
