Today I've built a Gitlab merge trains dashboard as a Python CLI with Claude at work. Getting an overview and some ETAs was so annoying on a big monorepo. Now the whole thing is visual and addictive.

Hate it or love it, but LLMs are clearly driving engineering decisions shopify.engineering/back-to-native. I clearly see that trend with strongly typed languages taking over, in particular the ones that are "LLM-friendly".

It's just a tool in your belt, a powerful one though. We need to stop splitting the dev community in two halves. We want good engineering - empowered by AI / LLMs - to survive at the age of agentic coding. That's the way to go :) !
Tell you what, given the project I've been working on for months, AI very definitely does not offload my cognition. It only augments it, and there wasn't a lot of that to work with to start.
