This is just the best team in the league. Makes it all the more frustrating we weren’t able to add another attacker that moves the needle for is

Simply can’t be bothered to crash out over Rogers because 👇🏾
In case you were conflicted and needed clarity, Barcola has always been the better option. Good night.

Most engineering orgs - and I flatter them using that word - measure productivity by how much *stuff* teams ship.

This is to fundamentally mis-characterise software development. It's not a delivery process. We're not Uber Eats. It's a *learning* process.

And the biggest factor is feedback latency

i hope everyone is enjoying Spain's deep run in the World Cup utilizing physicality, great control of the ball, unbreachable defending and better attacking than casuals would lead you to believe. reminds me of something but I can't put my finger on it

Pochettino thoroughly debased himself in this tournament and before it with his sucking up to Trump and his gleeful acceptance of open corruption in his favour. He richly deserved this humiliation even if his players didn’t.

There’s something very poetic about Trump trying to rig the game and still losing lol

I’ve not seen match data, but I’m pretty sure home team win percentages are down this season in the PL
March 16, 2026 at 7:35 AM
You see that data point for Villa? That’s the regression monster at its finest
Graph compares each PL team's last 9 games against the rest of their season. Since Michael Carrick took over, Man United are the most in-form team in the league, Man City drop to fifth by xG, and Liverpool struggle to convert third-best xG difference into points

If what’s going on in the US looks bad to you, you should not be tolerating Reform in any way, shape or form.
March 15, 2026 at 9:21 AM
It’s absolutely insane to me that we have 3 more away games left
March 4, 2026 at 11:18 PM
I will say nothing considering the recent dialogue about op goals and set pieces…

As @tim-stillman.bsky.social once said, title races aren’t fun. I reckon if we do win the lot, we’re going to reminisce on this season and wonder what we were all so worried about 😅
Here's a 'fun' stat for you...

At this stage of the 2003/04 season (ALL competitions), Wenger's Invincibles:

42 games
31 wins
7 draws
4 defeats

__

2025/26 Arsenal side:

44 games
34 wins
7 draws
3 defeats

@billycarpy.bsky.social am I imagining it or do Arsenal regularly have a finishing slump this time of year every season for like the last 4 years?
December 23, 2025 at 10:43 PM
Fair to say we saw all of these 😂
What I’d like to see later:

1. Press the shit out of them. Lay off Romero, M2M everywhere else, aggressive jumps wide and on their #10
2. Let it rip: test their ability to block shots
3. Fast, grounded switches (followed by underlaps)
4. Back post crosses from the half-space

On Marco van Basten, the demands of modern football, and some specific ways Arsenal can target Spurs.

This is some harrowing stuff
I also saw this in an article in nymag.com - how fucking depressing is this?

Shopify run ads on the Arsecast, but I will be informing Acast to immediately cease any further campaigns with them.

I’ve read quite a few fantasy and sci-fi novels, played a shit tonne of video games and watched even more movies and series. Nothing from any of these could have prepared me for a reality where Donald Trump is Bill Clinton’s throat goat…

@billycarpy.bsky.social hey Billy, I’ve been meaning to ask. I’ve felt Rice has become Odegaard whilst the captain’s been absent. I feel he’s basically taken on the progression responsibility of MØ in recent weeks. Would you happen to have any numbers (or insight) to confirm this?
November 6, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Erh chat… I think we’re winning the league…

I saw a clip going around showing Rodrigo Mora and it got me thinking of how the 17-21 yos are probably going to be the most valuable players in the next few years
August 3, 2025 at 8:43 PM
@billycarpy.bsky.social am I getting too far ahead of myself or does a Calafiori x Eze flank look fun af?

Arteta’s “Tier 1,2 and 3” comments inform a lot on how he treated rotation in the past. It is also refreshing to see he’s going to do something different
