Bruges at Night. If you learned anything from the movie "In Bruges" then you know... "it's a fookin' shithole" :-) Still one of my favourite cities in Europe and you can see why. It's beautiful any time of year, even winter when there are fewer tourists.

Horizontal wide angle shot of the upper-part of the Eldorado art deco cinema in Brussels. Composed of a succession of gilded reliefs by sculptors Wolf and Van Neste, it depicts daily life in the Congo amid exuberant flora and fauna. A massive cornice frames the ceiling, which is adorned with a solar star with gigantic rays. Built in 1931-1932 by architect Marcel Chabot, it used to be an impressive auditorium for 3,000 people. In the 1970, the lower part of the room was removed to make room for a bigger complex with more movie theater rooms. Fortunately, the upper part was preserved, leaving the original colonial-inspired decor in place. The room underwent another restoration in 1992. The lighting was cleverly redesigned to accentuate the monumentality of the scenes and enhance their visual impact.
