Monsal Head with the old railway. Whilst it's great it's now a walking route/cycle path, to me one of the worst of the Beeching cuts was closing the old Midland Railway line between Buxton and Matlock

Cheedale. Beautiful. Otherworldly. Like somewhere out of Tolkien - maybe Ithilien or Lothlorien

Another one I enjoyed building. Relatively easy paint. Decals on. Another varnish and some weathering. Figures to do. (Back burner job - can kicked down the road)

Back to the Tamiya Panther Ausf A in 1/35. It's an old moulding but still a nice build. The paint job is a bit of an interpretation! Still bits to go on and a couple of figures to do. I do love acTamiya kit. Not much hassle building. Instructions usually make sense

Yesterday's walk. The Pots and Pans walk above Uppermill. Stunning views after a steep ascent. Beautiful Pennine views.

From today's walk. A circular stating & finishing in Castleton. Up Cave Dale looping round to Mam Tor, Mam Tor ridge and back to Castleton for a well deserved cup of tea.

An absolute beast visiting the Worth Valley today. Rebuilt West Country class Braunton. Still looking good for a 90mph dash to Bournemouth if a bit out of place in Yorkshire

Where ai has a use in #photography - 2 images of my great grandfather - first from a 60 year old scuffed neg then cleaned up with ai

Not normally a fan of ai colourised photos but this seems quite sympathetic for a change. I believe these 2 to be my 2 x great grandparents George & Sarah Thorpe

RAF Ravenscar a former chain low radar station from the Second World War. Slowly crumbling & going back to nature.
Not quite the back of beyond as there was a railway behind it.
