Bit of scale modelling the challenger 1, trying to get the bug back but still not feeling it
A bit of fun…I remember this first photo from the Tamiya catalogue in the late 1970s & think it’s still the one they use…interesting to see how the techniques & products of today allow us to try & at least get close…I reckon my effort, with the benefit of all the new stuff, is comparatively OK…✊🤔

Airbrush power washed with a bit of wet sanding.
Next up we get crazy with some Tamiya clear blue over chipping fluid to make the green parts more bluish and glossy.

I've used Tamiya XF in the past but I placed the tyre on the wheel before painting. It seemed to be tough enough. 👍
