Dolly Parton's impact wasn't her music--though it was obviously that!--it was her love of humanity and her willingness to show it, to put in the work and money and effort and time and energy to show it, locally and far away.

When we say Dolly Parton changed lives, she did, it was clear, it was evident, it was everywhere. The Imagination Library was a supreme act of loving children and families and showing it through books and money and effort. The Moderna vaccines she funded. The money she poured into her hometown.

The Imagination Library was a gift, a gift that meant anyone could have books delivered to their house, for their kids, for YEARS. Your kids would have books that were THEIRS, in THEIR room, so they would grow up knowing what it was like to live in a house where reading was valued.

This cruelty has no need but cruelty. Haiti remains deeply dangerous; a country in the throes of anarchy. Hundreds of thousands of people are SAFE. They are safe. They are safe here and the nation has decided to make them unsafe.

We are embarking on a tragedy and we cannot look away. We cannot.
So many immigrants I've interviewed break down about this. "Monsanto Maler was one of several Haitian immigrants who traveled from Springfield for a check in...after an ankle monitor was attached to him, Maler was seen collapsing to the ground and crying." www.springfieldnewssun.com/local/hundre...
Hundreds rally at site were Haitians required to check-in, get monitors after end of TPS
Hundreds of people gathered outside a federal immigration office Sunday morning to show support for Haitian immigrants from Springfield who were called to report for immigration check-ins.

Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

Blanche v. Lau is devastating for green card holders. It means that if they leave the U.S. then return, a border officer can claim they committed a crime at some point, revoke their lawful status, and confiscate their green card without meaningful evidence of wrongdoing. It's really, really bad.
