It's very easy for media to find pro-AI teachers willing to speak in public, but harder to find skeptics.

Really interesting programme and interview. My jaw dropped at the 31% of learners, who took the PISA test, who were below Level 2 in reading. Lev 2 being what the OECD class as the baseline of proficiency in reading to be able to participate in society. In 2015 it was 16%. In England it is 16% now.

Really interesting programme and interview. My jaw dropped at the 31% of learners, who took the PISA test, who were below Level 2 in reading. Lev 2 being what the OECD class as the baseline of proficiency in reading to be able to participate in society. In 2015 it was 16%. In England it is 16% now.
After another set of disappointing PISA results for Wales, Anna Brychan, education minister says, "these results are not where we want them to be" and that "they reinforce what we knew already and highlight our need to improve standards of reading and maths, as a priority." It sounded very familiar.

Although the UK performed well overall, the rankings varied significantly again, with results showing England, where the curriculum is significantly different, pulling consistently ahead of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
