Just went to buy @gilduran.com's "The Nerd Reich" on Google Books, and discovered that the enshittification is so thorough that it's not safe to do so - I was very close to buying one that's actually AI slop with an identical title and author name.

I really don't need this guitar, but the local shop has one on clearance and I made the mistake of trying it out. I'm partial to Guild guitars, and this one is a beauty. Lot of guitar for not much money.

Picked up a used Jaguar last weekend (the guitar, not the car). It had super light strings on it so of course I immediately broke one because who puts super light strings on a short scale guitar like that? Anyway, completely humbled trying to re-string that thing. Numb hands/bad eyes. Cool guitar.

Driving a rental car means being at the mercy of local radio (I'm not pairing my phone, I'm not stupid). I'd forgotten that Sugarloaf was a band but now I have, Don't Call Us" stuck in my damn head.

Saturday at the pawn shop looking at a mountain dulcimer. They had $150 on it but the owner was so glad to be rid of it I took it home for $40. I was also loudly cheered by an old gent from across the store because they probably had a wager on it never being sold. The island of unloved instruments.
