Akira is a film meant for theatres. Seeing it in one changed my opinion from “it’s ok but I don’t get the hype” to “🤯”
9 years later it’s screening again & it was still just as exciting the second time. GO SOMEWHERE WITH GOOD SURROUND SOUND! Im usually a dubbed person but do subtitles for this one.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series
You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

As someone who has been tweeted about personally by Rowling. And who spends my whole life trying to fight the damage caused by the litigation she funds. I think, personally, I would be less harmed by you giving me an actual kick in the ribs than watching the new Harry Potter & trying to justify it.

Started a heated ethical debate in our vacation group because I just had to see the Human-Sized Hamster Wheel (located in a Body-Worlds-esque part of the museum)

I’ve had a lot more close encounters with wildlife living in central NJ than I ever did in Pennsylvania. I guess it’s because there’s less places for them to get away from people?
Turning a corner to see a deer or fox right in front of you… cool to see ‘em but it’s very unnerving!!
