There’s a delusional optimism that comes with being a professional athlete. You need it to reach that level, in the first place. It’s also more fun to think there’s a chance instead of assuming the worst.
Max Scherzer reiterated that if the #BlueJays do sell, it's on them as players, but added:
"If they don’t sell, great. We’re getting 40,000 fans a night. We want to go out there and play. We’re only a few games out of the Wild Card and anything can happen. We're a good team."

Firing Craig Berube is a good first step for John Chayka. The real question is who they hire next. Everyone is looking at Bruce Cassidy but I wonder if Chayka goes off the board with someone younger and relatively unknown.

Not getting either Kyle Tucker or Bo Bichette sucks but considering the Blue Jays won the pennant without them and just added the top pitcher on the free agent market, they’re still a favourite in the AL
