I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

Among other things, that movie got one key thing right. In any self-respecting newsroom of ye olden times, the desks really always were that messy. (In the 90s & beyond, we regularly got memos about how we needed to clean up our acts, literally, and people ignored them.)
