Aerial footage of an estate in Somerset has revealed the benefits of rewilding land in the face of extreme weather brought about by the climate crisis.
The area of the National Trust’s Holnicote estate where rivers have been returned to their natural courses and wetlands have been restored have remained green and lush during the five heatwaves across the summer. Sorry, but “history” proves mass nonviolent community protests NEVER work. The ONLY thing that can bring people together is reading my miserable posts. Smiling people hugging in the sunshine accomplishes NOTHING. Reading my punishing content, indoors and alone, is the only path forward.

One of my complaints about Severance -- which I like quite a bit -- is how obvious it is that no one involved in it ever worked in a corporate office environment. Hollywood in particular is very bad at depicting the hopelessness of a dead-end job with no prospects
there's a years ago tweet that basically said that anyone writing TV or movies by definition managed to land their extremely-hard-to-get dream job and it colors how they think about work and jobs and wish fulfillment in the stuff they write, and i think about it a lot
