she is an intercountry #adoptee from China; she has two heart conditions and she requires a transplant; her hospital will not approve the transplant until her adopters agree to her receiving flu and COVID vaccines, which they adamantly refuse to do.

This is what I think about as well. You might feel there is little you can do, but you can document, record, write; we can share what we are seeing, reading, hearing. We are history, not just gov data.
Thinking a lot of the role of recording dissent, of the role of bearing witness. My mind goes to Sotomayor's Trump immunity dissent. "The relationship between the President and the people he serves has shifted irrevocably. In every use of official power, the President is now a king above the law."
