When the Democrats control the House, those elected are charged with determining the leadership, and I sincerely hope, the Speaker. That should be the single focus. Until then, our task is to elect Democratic representatives to the U.S. House of Representatives.
He's proven he's bad at public imagery and doesn't imagine how the public will react, but very good at getting legislation through. After November we can decide if that he should be Speaker.

Right now your job is to keep your eye on November and make sure we win.

I'm pretty sure I didn't miss that class; it was not offered. My classes cited the "preferential option for the poor." I am fairly certain Catholic "gospel" teaching has not changed since then.
Dang i must have missed ‘hate poor foreigners’ class in my Catholic high school

How many "annual" physicals are covered by Medicare, Medicaid or any health insurance plan?
How many times a year should an annual physical take place?

I have one of those insanely low mortgages and I am absolutely holding on to it. My point is that people wanted free money and zero interest and now can't figure out how *what they wanted* is biting them in the ass.
I did not advocate for that. I'm just a beneficiary of it.
And? Why should we? Are you?

Why should we be guilted out to move to make way for others? Are the banks who are holding these low rate mortgages behind this push to have us give up & low rates & get a new high rate mortgage?
Sounds like it is.

To be clear, Elections do not come under the category of things to be "allowed."
The president demands election results be thrown out so Republicans win more seats

I'm fairly certain that is not an accurate quote of Margaret Mead! I don't recall the "polite" part.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has — as long as they were polite about it."

For Trump, I believe there is no moral bottom. I keep waiting to find the moral bottom for those who profess to have principles and the power to repudiate this and still do not.
I doubt that Pope Leo XIV will lose any sleep over this, before he begins his pilgrimage to Africa tomorrow. But the rest of us should. Because it is unhinged, uncharitable and unchristian. Is there no bottom to this moral squalor?

Thank you Rep. Leger Fernandez and our entire NM Congressional delegation for representing the values and views of the people of NM.
Listen to Rep. Teresa Leger Fernández—Republicans wrote the SAVE America Act to block citizens from registering & purge voters for before midterms.

MAGA cannot win with more people voting, so they need to rig the system by making it harder to vote.

Thank you, Rep. Melanie Stansbury, for acknowledging Martineztown. The ABQ administration and Council should be on the frontlines of preserving that history and protecting historic and underserved communities.
The Martineztown neighborhood is one of the most historic & iconic neighborhoods in all of ABQ.

We visited community leaders, elders & advocates to hear more about the history and people that make this community who it is. There is so much history in our own backyard!

Thank you, Rep. Melaine Stansbury and all of the people who celebrate and acknowledge our special people and places!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

What are you thankful for this year? For me—it’s all of you and the opportunity to serve our communities. Here’s what some of our friends and neighbors had to say this week as well. ❤️

Thank you again, Rep. Stansbury and our NM Congressional Delegation, for standing in support of Chaco Canyon and land sacred to Tribal Nations, land that is part of the cultural heritage all Americans share.
Chaco Canyon is sacred ground. That is why we are fighting to protect this place and ask the American people for their help!

Thank you, New Mexico, for again being a leader in support of public health.
New Mexico has issued a public health order that removes federal restrictions to COVID-19 vaccine access so that pharmacies in New Mexico can vaccinate people of all ages and risk profiles. Every state need to do this!

Sadly, I do not have a hard time believing anyone would say that empathy is a fundamental weakness. But I have a very hard time believing a person of faith, including anyone who professes to follow the Catholic faith, would say that or support actions by a government that align with that viewpoint.
I have a hard time believing that anyone would say, as Elon Musk did, "The fundamental weakness of Western civilization is empathy." In fact, the fundamental weakness is a lack of empathy.

Thank you, Senator. Please mobilize your Senate colleagues to step up and to speak out against the administration's pivot to Putin. The administration is an embarrassment and national security risk.
