I feel like I would trade my huge screened switch 2 for a smaller version in a heartbeat because stowing away my 3DS without a second thought was just hard to beat compared to "put it in this case so it doesn't break or get scratched/dusty" on commutes anymore

I mean "enjoy the camps" also tells you this person's limits of political engagement. They will vote against Put You In A Camp because they're a good person, but when the workers show up to build the camp they won't stop it, when the guards show up to take their neighbours away they won't stop it.
"Enjoy the camps" is a succinct summation of the current moment trans people find ourselves in. People who insist they're allies also loudly proclaim they won't lift a finger to help us, will say nothing when we're attacked and even tacitly agree with the attacks, and still claim moral superiority.

I wonder if part of the reason for the staff's increasing open resentment towards users (particularly trans women) is because they've cooked their brains so much talking to obsequious chatbots every day that they literally interpret completely normal interactions from normal people as hostile.

this is an example of the thing i talk about in that it sucks how trans people are constantly forced to be diplomats to cis people because there's a good chance you might be one of the only trans people they've consciously met, but precisely for that reason there's an outsized humanizing effect imo.
