Just to be 100% clear, when I say that you should not be talking to the police, I mean specifically that you should say, “I’m invoking my fifth amendment right to remain silent.”

One last thing: I often see people saying things like ‘never talk to the police without a lawyer’ and a lot of people don’t have lawyers and are like, what should I do?

The answer is that you should not talk to the police at all.

Well, it happened. A client disregarded my advice about using generative AI and guess what? It gave them bad advice AND the judge ruled that by using it, Client waived confidentiality and ordered us to turn a bunch of private stuff over.

STOP USING GENERATIVE AI FOR LEGAL THINGS. I BEG YOU.

FWIW: This is essentially John Roberts’s “reasoning” in Skrmetti, so, yeah, don’t laugh too hard.
The law, in its majestic equality, forbids Democrats and Republicans to gerrymander in favor of Democrats.

In 1979, Mattel sold toy Battlestar Galactica fighter ships that fired a tiny spring-loaded "torpedo." One 4-year old choked on it, and the entire line of torpedo toys was recalled and never sold again.

Why isn’t he asking the president? I’m so sick of Congress not doing their job.
BRENNAN: Did they mine the strait? Because Trump also said they might not have

TURNER: You'll have to ask the president

BRENNAN: That's the point. Congress hasn't been briefed

TURNER: It's his tweet

B: You're a member of oversight and armed services

TURNER: You'll have to ask the president

Do you know how EXTREMELY FUCKED UP SHIT HAS TO BE for me to be reposting Tucker Carlson positively???
Tucker Carlson: "It's vile. It begins w/ a promise to use the US military to commit a war crime. Those people who are in direct contact w/ the president need to say 'No. I'll resign. I'll do whatever I can do legally to stop this, bc this is insane. And if given the order, I'm not carrying it out'"

Transnational adoptees who are also transracial adoptees are so aware of the ways we, as naturalized citizens, are in unique danger in this moment. While we are much safer than undocumented folks, our status is incredibly precarious under this regime ruled by white supremacy.
One thing to remember about ACB is that she has adopted kids that she sure as shit wants to be US citizens and she knows damn well that if they can come for birthright then can come for naturalized as well.

SAUER: Ah, I think ... so. I have to think that through.

Tenure protects the right for people to be wrong. As does the 1A. It is a good and necessary safeguard for everyone working at a public institution of higher ed. And barring actual fabrication of evidence and sources, *which has not happened here,* we take the good and the bad that comes with it.
Can you lose tenure for being abjectly bad at your job?

Whenever a news story about something Trump is doing declares that it's "a first for a sitting president" or "a change from tradition," replace it with "yet another authoritarian move from the president," and see if it sounds more accurate.
