1) Marty McFly seemed like the EPITOME of cool when I was a kid. The guitar. The skateboard. The attitude. The denim jacket! Hanging out with a crazy old scientist.

2) It definitely always felt like an 80s teen comedy to me.

I think a lot of it depends on your age and where you are at in your life too when you watch each of them. I’m about to hit 40 in a few weeks… maybe that means I’m due for a rewatch of the whole trilogy!

Lord of Illusions was enjoyable but, yeah, also pretty bad. I’d still love to see Bakula reprise the role… maybe in the next Hellraiser movie. Onto a newer one tonight: Longlegs. Other than Nic Cage giving a batshit performance, I know almost nothing about it. #horror #filmsky

Ebert was a fan. Observations: Scott Bakula is like a paranormal investigating John McLane. It seems like they wanted his Harry D’Amour to be a franchise character possibly (like the stories). Fun fact: Barker intended for this to be the same fictional universe as Hellraiser. #filmsky #moviesky

Interestingly, Brinkley himself was raised in Ohio & went to Ohio State. I’m unsure if they’ve said specifically why they prefer Erie over Put-in-Bay where the Battle of Lake Erie happened — but I know they’ve discussed the centrality of Erie. I’ll ask that question directly when I get the chance.

The way I organize my bookshelves makes sense to me and me alone. I also can’t really explain it… but it all makes sense in my head.

Right? I just finished the latest season last week and was surprised to see the next season was already dropping.

I’ve been getting paid to write for ten years and *still* internally cringe when I call myself a writer. But I do it anyway, because I am.

It was great! I wasn’t sure what my youngest’s reaction would be, but he giggled throughout the whole movie and afterwards said it was one of his new favorites.

Mostly, I spent the 10-20 minutes fighting it. I should just embrace it!

One of the best podcasts out there. Looking forward to many more.
