New playlist about to drop.
Lord of Illusions was enjoyable but, yeah, also pretty bad. I’d still love to see Bakula reprise the role… maybe in the next Hellraiser movie. Onto a newer one tonight: Longlegs. Other than Nic Cage giving a batshit performance, I know almost nothing about it. #horror #filmsky

Ebert was a fan. Observations: Scott Bakula is like a paranormal investigating John McLane. It seems like they wanted his Harry D’Amour to be a franchise character possibly (like the stories). Fun fact: Barker intended for this to be the same fictional universe as Hellraiser. #filmsky #moviesky

Doesn’t seem that long ago I was in Halloween horror movie mode. It’s time again. This year, I’m also working on a story about #horrormovies and why we like them. I’m also going to specifically watch those horror #movies I somehow missed over the years. First up: Clive Barker’s Lord of Illusions.

Roger Ebert liked Jennifer’s Body. He gave this (often misunderstood) movie 3 out of 4 stars. I love going back and reading his reviews — even when I disagreed. There was and is no film critic like him. #HATM

That Media Play was AMAZING. As a kid, my dad would drop me off there and then come pick me up hours later. But no, I want to say Media Play closed down around 2006ish? This place was a smaller local joint right near there though (circled). The Media Play was by Lowe’s. #HATM

When I was a teenager, I saw *a lot* of really bad movies in the dollar theater. This is the only movie I’ve ever walked out in the middle of though. Considering the insane talent involved, I sometimes wonder if it’s as bad as I remember.
