Great to see the Kiyoshi Kurosawa collection and I implore people take the opportunity of it to watch his masterpiece CHARISMA. Watched it on DVD earlier this year and found it one of his best films, but it never streams and unofficial versions are in poor quality

If you want to see everything I hate about modern film discourse particularly as it relates to social media. Cold RT scores with no context being used as an arbiter of the film's quality, people happily sharing said score thus doing marketing and the trade's jobs for them.

25 years and it's so weird to describe how I felt in real time as a kindergartner who had no idea vs a 30 year who kind of realizes the trauma and paranoia never really left and has only evolved.

The Death Stranding games while not unpopular were modest hits in comparison to Kojima’s other work. Even going back to his days as a producer, there’s a reason why even Metal Gear wasn’t enough to give him grace with Konami.

I don't think I've ever seen a boutique label lose their way quite like VS, still love a lot of their releases and buy during the sales but seeing what they charge for some releases vs what they provide is actually quite cringe inducing. I'm certain there's other factors but it feels a bit scummy

As someone who grew up with Lehigh being an afterthought to local High School football and having to hear "Well they were good in the 70s" I don't know what to do with this feeling of having multiple winning seasons

The third installment to the X trilogy was so bad it made me reassess the first two entries both of which I'm significantly lower on and Ti West as a filmmaker in general. The only thing the guy has going for him is emulation and he's not even as good at that as other filmmakers.
