There is a cherry tree at the end of my street. For most of the year, it's a scrubby thing, struggling for space and water on the roadside. For ten days, it's a gorgeous mass of blossoms. Here it is being gorgeous.

Some personal news. Nine months after the hip op, I'm up and running again (literally).
Physio to five K
Achieved something of a milestone in recovering from the left hip replacement recently. A 30 minute run, and then a 5k race. A lot of the badly photocopied sheets you get given after a hip op (or find online) say running is out. But it's an item on the Oxford Hip Score, so I figure it's fine, with suitable preparation. And I did a LOT of physio, PT, and light lifting before starting the NHS/BBC Couch to 5k alongside a Coached to 5k course at New Energy Fitness in Winchester.
