Explains why Moe gets along with Carney so well.

The first phone lines in rural Saskatchewan were run along farmer’s barbwire fences with the understanding sharing their fence lines meant connecting the community, not profiteering. cowboycountrymagazine.com/2011/03/fenc...

This isn't the first time the USA has placed 50% tariffs on Canada.
In 1890, the USA's Tariff Act was touted as a way to build up American industry, but the true goal was forcing the annexation of Canada.
It backfired and made Canada stronger.
This is the story.

For months, I have been raising the alarm in the House of Commons about Danielle Smith’s attack on public health care.

I’ve raised it repeatedly during Question Period. I’ve written to the Prime Minister and the Health Minister multiple times. And for months, the federal gov’t stayed silent.

I'm loathe to share this man, but this one is personal. My masters thesis was on the MMR controversy, so believe me when I say that this path of separation of the MMR will result in nothing but increased sales of too-small coffins, and children with life-altering medical conditions.
Trump: "The MMR I think should be taken separately. This is based on what I feel."

Heads up Canadian #crbox builders and PC fan air cleaner enthusiasts – Canadian Tire has a sale on 2-packs of Filtrete 1900 starting Thursday for $26.99 ($13.50 each). Normal price is $64.99, hope they are in stock by then. No rainchecks. @northboxsystems.bsky.social

(That's like $9.64 each in USD)

I called on the 🇨🇦 govt to guarantee, no-cost access to COVID-19 vaccines, including for every child under 12.

Under the Canada Health Act, every Canadian deserves equal access to care no matter where they live, or how badly their provincial gov’t ignores science, health guidelines & their citizens.

Operation Barrel Roll: How the US razed Laos for its own imperialist gain

The US and the Soviet Union began negotiations to stay out of the civil war in Laos in 1964. But driven by a militarist Cold War mentality, US could not uphold its end of the bargain.

All this hullabaloo over a 3 minute call to prayer. That's 3 minutes out of the 10,080 in a week. That's 0.03% of a week taken up by the call to prayer. And for the average Reginan who maybe goes downtown for Farmer's Market they'll here it 0% of the time b/c it to happen on Fridays. #yqrcc

Last year, City Council approved a pilot to deploy Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) in the downtown U of the subway, a new non-police emergency service for people experiencing crises on transit.

One year later, the results are in. TCCS's non-enforcement approach to safety is working.

We have NEVER had overcrowding in our EDs that looks like this in our summer (typically we see admitted volumes decrease in the summer)

There's a popular larger "DIY air purifier," but this Canadian version is a little smaller, and cheaper, to build. One will do 200-400 square feet, so if you have a small apartment, make two, etc.:

But Carney is busy gutting federal science departments including Fisheries and Oceans, Agriculture and Agri-Food, Environment and Climate Change, Canadian Space Agency, Health Canada, Public Health Agency, and Natural Resources, and dumping research funds into AI.
