remembering the first time i went to the eye doctor out here (WA state). my gf came with because why not and the guy just totally ignored my preferred name and i just assumed there was an effort / went with it and didn't realize how aggro he was trying to be 🫠🫠🫠

also i'm aware this is common for autistic folks but ANYTIME you try to alert others to this behavior, you are shrugged off almost immediately or told it's all in your head or they didnt mean it that way or you're too sensitive! 🙃
