I get it. I really do. It is SO sexy to say we cut off travel to areas where there is Ebola. Frankly, it’s sexy even when those areas aren’t going through Ebola. Problem is, we have lived AND PUBLISHED experience saying it doesn’t help and may hurt.

Just filled out my University’s AI survey. Finished it out with a 7 paragraph essay on the “any other comments” section ending with an acknowledgement of my own biases leading to answers and efforts (and (lack of) success) to mitigate the same. Looking forward to adequate AI self-reflection 🙄🙄

Most CAP patients who tested positive for respiratory viruses didn't benefit from antibiotic therapy. This study suggests that physicians may overestimate the risk of bacterial infections in CAP patients who test positive for respiratory viruses.
