It really is wild, sad, bizarre, predictable. Not only is it not believable. It's no overstatement to say that when ICE says guy tried to run us over, tried to attack, threatened to shoot ... that's ICE for 'hey, our guys were pumped up and they shot the guy.'
ICE claims that Araujo drove into one of their SUVs with his van and then tried to run over an agent.
There were no marks on the van and KHOU11's Jeremy Rogalski found surveillance footage showing ICE chasing Araujo and cutting him off.

I agree 100% with Steven Vickers that authors will be falsely accused of using AI in the coming years. In particular, authors like myself whose works were stolen to train AI systems are at risk. When we write in our own unique styles, AI trained on us will quite likely flag us as using AI.

PEN reported 6,870 instances of book bans last year alone, meaning 6,870 times a books was removed from shelves or access was restricted. That number is not a typo. The number has tripled since 2021.

In her dissent from today's decision—Mahmoud v. Taylor—Justice Sotomayor says that the court's holding "threatens the very essence of public education," and that its "reverberations" will be felt "for generations." This is a very heartfelt and mournful dissent. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...
