Pouring one out for Oswaldo Cabrera, who was DFA'ed today by the Yankees. A solid player and an excellent vibes guy who had his career derailed by a horrible injury last season. Really hoping he catches on somewhere next season and does well.

this Kraft dude most of us had never heard of 24 hours ago is a real contender for the new Streisand Effect world champion
wow. with this announcement, all of ed sheeran's openers for this tour have pulled out:

I really don't know why I watch NFL games anymore. Robert Kraft and the cabal of NFL owners colluding to blackball Ed Sheeran from their (mostly) taxpayer-funded stadiums if he didn't drop Macklemore is just the latest example that it's a small club and we're not in it
Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour for making onstage comments about Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Today, the rapper said that Sheeran was pressured by Robert Kraft. The Gillette Stadium owner has now shared a statement accusing Macklemore of a “history of antisemitic rhetoric and imagery.”
Macklemore Dropped From Ed Sheeran Tour Over Israel Comments
Macklemore has been dropped from Ed Sheeran’s US stadium tour due to his onstage comments about Israel and Palestine. In his two appearances opening for Sheeran at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Labo...

Beware of anyone who is wistful about the aftermath of 9/11. It was a trauma blender of shock, grief, blood thirst, and racism— and it ushered in our surveillance state.
But that feeling of a shared bond among all Americans in the early weeks after the attack is something I’m so glad I got to experience. Because it’s the thing that I think we’re missing the most today.

"Appeared to suggest..." The benevolent language that @nytimes.com uses is a part of its normalization of this crazy town.

Hopefully not-hot take, "Unwell" is just a fantastic song. It's lived rent-free in my head in a good way for 25 years, or however long it's been since it came out.

Shameful. But what else is new with the Steinbrenner Nepo Babies’ stewardship of this team?
Where Yankee Stadium once stood, a park — and a promise — have fallen apart
The old Yankee Stadium site was meant to honor history. Now it’s a symbol of neglect to the people of the South Bronx.

God: Okay, let me see. You're going to have a near-perfect memory for song lyrics.

Me: Cool, so I'll be able to sing well?

God: Oh Me, no. Not at all.

Me: Well at least the memory thing will come in handy in day to day life. Names and stuff?

God: No, it'll be specific to the lyrics thing.

So far this Mariners team has reminded me of one of Jeffery Osborne's biggest pop hits, Barney Greenwald from The Caine Mutiny, and that the Yankees offense is just dog poop right now.

I learned the other day that there's no restriction on gender in the NBA. Which begs the question: if there's supposedly people out here clamoring for men to play women's sports, wouldn't they also be arguing for CC or A'ja to make an NBA roster? Of course no one is, but logic eludes these fools.

Big companies like Amazon have built a vast network of subcontractors who deliver their packages while shielding them from accountability.
