Reupping this again: MSP please alert the young white women with golden doodles, one of them urgently needs the post-exposure rabies series.
Hi if you are in Minneapolis and are this 25-to-30-year-old white woman, about 5'5", with brown hair and a curly-haired golden retriever-like dog, get medical attention immediately!
if you’re the white woman who was picking up a bat in downtown minneapolis on hennepin ave between washington & 3rd on 9/15 at noon, the minnesota department of health would like to talk to you because that shit was RABID!

i would also like to talk to you because girl, wtf

Great thread here of Minneapolis bike infrastructure photos and observations. We don't have everything solved yet, but there's a lot that's happening and getting better!
Going to try and keep a more consistent travel thread rather than random posts, and two minutes into St Paul and already seeing great curb level bike infrastructure. I might have to bike back out here from Minneapolis!

I've already made a nuisance of myself by telling people their AI created signage is ugly and off-putting so I should probably try to chill out.

As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series
You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

There are at least 3 different jeeps in the cities driving around with rubber duck collections on the dash. Is this a thing for some reason? Do other cars do this as well but I've only encountered the jeeps??

Last year I had to wait like an hour to even get on the shuttle bus, this year I was scooped up by a shuttle as soon as I got off the light rail and am at the fair much earlier than I thought possible.

Holy shiiiiiiit if you know anyone in North Carolina who may even know anyone who knows anyone who's been to an event by these people, get them to go get the rabies post-exposure prophylaxis shots RIGHT THE FUCK NOW, DO NOT WAIT, YOU CANNOT TREAT IT AFTER SYMPTOMS START
Rabies is 100% fatal if untreated.

Please help spread the word about the exposure at the Farm Adventures mobile petting zoo in North Carolina.

The vaccine is incredibly effective and will save your life.

Also…. Rabies at a petting zoo!?!?

Open offer to any Racket Member (Over 21) who spots me at the fair tomorrow morning—I’ll give you a free beer. All you have to do is say, “Holy shit, it’s that queer beer lady.” I’ll be running through 34 new beers and am happy to hook a friend up after I’ve poured a bit off for reviewing.

Every time you check out a library book instead of ordering from Amazon, ask a friend instead of an LLM, cook a meal instead of ordering from an app, or go for a walk instead of scrolling social media, you interrupt the cash flows of insane CEOs. Do it! Ruin their day!

The front banner sign on the bus was stuck on "Nicollet garage" instead of the route number so I got to stick my head out the door (per drivers request) and holler at people at the bus stop to hop on board. I felt very helpful and its fun to yell a little.

This "he's out and in rehab" is a good twist and I've got my eye on it. Using a second location is both tricky (evidence, more people might talk) but also useful (disrupt the pattern and keep things hidden). Good writing guys. I see you.
I look for info on the McConnell situation about 5 times a day, because--legitimately--as a mystery writer I have a major interest in how you hide a dead body.

Listening to this week's @sayswhopodcast.com and am in hysterics over Maureen and Dan describing the terrible cars they have owned.

The car that changed the radio station if you turned left too sharply is what really got me.
