The government doesn’t track how often immigration agents detain U.S. citizens. So ProPublica did.

We’ve tallied more than 500 Americans held against their will in warrantless arrests and detentions during President Trump’s second term.

This is Connor. Connor likes walkies. Today Connor got petted by several ppl on his evening walkies, including a teen boy who likes cats but whose mom is allergic. I think that really brightened that guy's day, which in turn brightens mine too. May it also brighten yours. #cute #cat #walkies #joy

To expand on this: Bigotry isn't a result of an innocent misunderstanding, or not having all the facts. It's not a choice made rationally, defeated with a rational argument.

Bigotry is a self-protective, foundational belief used to help make the world make sense to them. Debate won't change that.
We’ve been hearing for 20 years plus how we should just sit down and have a meal with people who think black, Latino and LGBTQ people are subhumans who must be killed. No.
The best cure for ideological bias is find someone on the other side and go to lunch with them.⁣

Cornell’s president called the alleged gang rape of a student at a fraternity house in 2024 “deeply disturbing,” as he pledged greater transparency amid mounting outrage over the school’s handling of the case.

this is one of the most special and meaningful key arts I’ve had the chance to create since joining the franchise: the beloved Leonard Nimoy and the incredible Ethan Peck, our two Spocks, together!

I hope you love it as much as I do!

A man replied to this saying in earnest that women need to get organized and fight for our rights and men will follow.

We did that. We do that. We mobilized the largest single day protest in global history on every continent and yet I have fewer rights than my mom did at my age.
I literally don’t know a single woman who hasn’t been raped, stalked, groped, harassed, or sexually violated in some way at some point in their life.

If you choose to doubt and dox survivors, just know every woman in your life is disgusted by you.

Everyone keeps reaching for the “too big to fail” button because it is fundamentally harder for them to imagine what happens if it’s too big to succeed. The unique conditions in play make a bailout impossible. This is also an ideological bubble to the point I think it creates a schism in society.
