Reform's vote share in Greater Manchester went from 31% in the local elections in May to 21% in the Mayoral election. I can only think of five million reasons for this.

Before the orange lunatic and his tariffs, we voted to do this to ourselves because a con artist with a pint in his hand said it was a great idea and it would get rid of the migrants. Now the same con artist still has no solutions, still only scapegoats and still people are still falling for it.
Farage & The Tories delivered Brexit

Make them own it

And yes, feckers voted for it. I don't know if folk believed the lies or wanted to. Or were wearing their exceptionalism on their foreheads🙄

But ffs you fecking damaged us & helped Putin in trying to destroy European Countries 🙄

There were oil shocks (as they were called) in the 1970s, before I was born. Anyone in government (pretty much anywhere) between then and now who hasn't been urging moving away from oil is part of the problem.

WTAF, grownups?! Seriously?!
"Oil dependence is dangerous" is OLD NEWS.
So if something happens to that one strait, the whole civilization collapses? That is a great system, well done. Have you thought about colonizing Mars? You'd be good at it.

Most of the cruel, racist stereotypes now being propagated about Muslims and immigrants were originally crafted as antisemitic attacks on Jews. The language and sources are in some cases exactly the same. Prejudice against any minority endangers all minorities.

The terrible thing about science in a democratic society is that, if you pay people enough, they can unsettle things that were settled for decades, by thousands of measurements, hundreds of ongoing examinations, hard statistical evidence.

All it takes is sufficiently immoral people.

There are currently no US Ambassadors in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, or Qatar. And since consular budgets have been slashed, few personnel to assist Americans trying to leave the region, even as the US issues evacuation notices instructing them to do so.
It is wild to me that DOGE/Musk could dismantle so much of the government in just a few months from a combination of anti-regulatory personal greed and fascism-tinged stupidity and no one will ever face any consequence for it.

I can't help thinking that the Tories' current outspoken defence of the "special relationship" has little to do with supporting Trump's little adventure and everything to do trying to embarrass Starmer. They forget however how unpopular Trump is in the UK. This isn't X!

Twelve out of those 14 times were under a Donald Trump Presidency.
