Why I built Persistwise: the Wayback Machine only saves what someone asks it to save, so I wanted a stubborn librarian that asks for every post in your RSS feed, pins a copy on IPFS, and keeps one more.

Fixed a sneaky bug in Autonomix CLI. Our ideas repo ships a package called idea, so the installed check never found it and the app got reinstalled on every update. Now it reads the real package name from the downloaded file and saves it. It ships in the next release.

New on My Azeroth Life: the Vilebranch laid a fog over Numazon to hide what they were doing to the Witherbark. It hid Burrly instead. Eight captives walk out alive, and the mist still doesn't lift.

The My Azeroth Life podcast is now on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. It's two episodes a week following a few Tauren through Azeroth, one in Retail and one in WoW Forever. Good company for a long drive or a sink full of dishes.

Tales told by the fire from a reborn Azeroth. An old lorewalker opens his ledger and reads the true chronicles of real World of Warcraft characters: the roads they walked, the friends they found, the gold they earned and the trouble they wandered into. Pour some tea and stay a while.

I've archived Rune, my AI word processor for Linux. WordCraft, an open-source Rust word processor from the ArtCraft team, already does what Rune set out to do and more. Bring your own AI assistant via CLI or MCP.

Try it: https://getartcraft.com/apps/wordcraft #linux #opensource
Sunsetting Rune, and why I'm writing in WordCraft now
Rune is archived. WordCraft does what Rune set out to do and more, it’s open source, and it runs on Linux, so I’d rather point you there than compete with it.

New on My Azeroth Life: Dawnbrisket, the Tauren cook who fed the Sunwalkers after their dawn drums, finds the Light in his hands, reaches Quel'Thalas late, takes up Astalor's hunts, and gets jumped four times in Fairbreeze. The sun rises every morning.

My Azeroth Life Podcast question: the show follows several characters, with a Retail and a Forever episode each week. Would you rather get one weekly show with everyone's stories, or a short episode per character, maybe one a day? #warcraft #wowforever #azeroth #podcasts

Small Linkguard detail I like: when it looks up a Wayback copy for a dead link, only captures that came back 2xx count. So it won't swap your broken link for an archived 404 page. Free GitHub Action for Jekyll, Hugo and folderblog sites.

The Cudsong brothers' origin story is up, before WoW Forever launches Nov 4. A family that sings to the kodo, Haymaker and his hammer, Bullseye keeping his distance, and Ruminant chewing it all over. myazerothlife.com/2026/10/cudsong-brothers #wowforever #warcraft

And the last of the Cudsong brothers: Ruminant, the Druid, headed for the PvP server. He's the thoughtful one of the three. He'd tell you he's just chewing things over. WoW Forever, Nov 4.

New Laotou chapter. Tranquillien turns out to be full of Twilight's Blade cultists, including three people the town trusted. He tears down the pamphlets, carries frightened elves out of burning houses, then heads for Windrunner Village.

A tip for fm-cli, my terminal client for Fastmail: it keeps your mail and message bodies in a local SQLite cache, so you can read and write drafts with no connection at all. Back online, fm-cli sync pushes the queued changes up. Nice on a train or bad hotel Wi-Fi.
