Mezzo Soprano in a community choir.
Just on our way home from Edinburgh after a lovely day. John had told me a month or so ago to block my diary for a surprise.
He had booked tickets for the Playhouse to see Dirty Dancing on stage! Excellent show and even better surprise!

As we're getting into poppy-fucker season, if anyone wants to give them an apoplexy, may I present the Poppy Scotland Pride pin?

(The Scottish ones look more like a real poppy...)

Thinking out loud, most technology comes from need: we need to keep things cool so we invent fridges, we need to light our rooms more easily, so we invent lightbulbs.

AI is the opposite, we have this thing, what do we need it for?

So it’s being inserted into everything in the search for a purpose.
Someone recently told me that AI will eventually be incorporated into my fridge, but I’m really struggling to work out what the use case there is.

The obvious one is telling me what I’ve run out of, but AI sucks so badly if it told me I’d only got two eggs left, I’d still check.

The structure of DNA was discovered in the 1950s

Accordingly, the 1960s saw a massive increase in diagnosis of genetic disorders.

Blaming it on, say, Beatles music, would have been laughable

Unrelated: Channel 4's 'documentary' "The Great #ADHD Myth?" airs tomorrow
Dean Burnett on Instagram: "A few people have replied to my recent criticisms about the imminent @channel4 'documentary' "The Great #ADHD Myth?" with arguments that the recent significant rise in ADHD diagnoses is something that does need to be investigated. This post is my stance on why such arguments are invalid."

I absolutely do not care or need to know how many small boats crossed the channel in the past 24 hours. Stop putting it in the news.

Any trans friends out there who are happy to answer a couple of questions? We have a trans customer at the moment and want to make sure that we pre-empt a couple of issues and make sure she is comfortable/safe throughout her course.

17th May is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia - #IDAHOBIT.
The date commemorates the World Health Organisation’s decision in 1990 to remove homosexuality from its classification of diseases.
We don’t need a cure.
