In 2024 they decided they were were going to call LLM 'AI' even though all it does is rehash information made by humans and add a few pre-programmed commands.

There is no intelligence to it, it is not sentient in any sense and because of how it is built it cannot be.

Stop falling for their lies.

☀️ Flooding isn't just a winter problem.

35% of home insurance flood claims occur between June and August. After prolonged hot, dry weather, heavy rain can quickly lead to surface water and flash flooding.

Last year, Rachel wrote about the inequities of England's business water abstraction system.

While you take your shorter showers, it's worth knowing that a business can pump enough water to fill 2/3 of a large tanker without even needing a permit:

In my capacity as journal editor I want to say this: authors you are not doing yourself any favours by using AI to write your manuscript.

I am finding convoluted arguments, bizarre language, weird expressions, and dull writing.

Using AI to 'improve' your language may be a pathway to rejection.

BP sponsored an elite Princeton research center to address the climate problem without getting off fossil fuels. Its key work, a paper known as “Wedges,” guided climate discourse for a generation.
