apropos of nothing, here's a terrific feature about a meaningful, life-saving use of artificial intelligence, which I have been thinking about for over a year. it's just extremely stupid to say that AI has zero benefits even if you don't think it should be used in writing (which I don't)!

Part of why I liked Hater Week was that I feel like we have been cowed into a false sense of objectivity as an entire field when having strong emotions about a work of art is the entire reason I do this.
I don’t want to pick on this person, this is just a really illustrative reply. something happened along the way where arguing from a place of conviction—believing that your opinion is correct — is received as prescriptive, an imposition. This is not a great development, imo

I knew this would happen well before the game was announced, but I am genuinely getting 50% ‘you ruined God of War’ and 50% ‘you didn’t do anything, liar’ and it is going to be so funny to watch when the game comes out. If they hate it, I’m the game director. If they like it, I was an intern.
