Happy birthday to me!!
These last two years have been tough. At 30 I lost my job. At 31 bank account was in the negatives, had to move back home, and take a job I really didn’t want that barely kept my head above water.

Within the first 30 mins of this hike, I saw a sagebrush lizard. These small lizards are diurnal, meaning they are active during the day.

I think that if CA used eminent domain to seize all of the alfalfa and almond farms using Colorado river water, and built solar and wind power on the land, it would solve like 2/3 of the climate issues in the United States once you consider second and third order effects.
We do not need to end rural mail service or shutter small hospitals and attempting to do so is basically a declaration that the republic has ended. What we need to do is make water regulations strict enough that there aren’t so many alfalfa farms in the desert the Colorado doesn’t reach the ocean.

The cat distribution system strikes again… at least their ear is already tipped. I call them Monsieur because of the little half mustache. They seems to get along with the regulars and keeps the neighbor’s cats from making my garage their vacation place. #Cats #CatsOfBluesky #TNR

When I saw this lizard, I was a bit confused. At first, I thought it was a side-blotched lizard, but I didn't see a blotch. I looked up the species found in the area, in field guides, then finally posted to iNat for verification. Sometimes an ID takes multiple steps!

I really don’t understand true greed. If I was worth $1 trillion, you’d have to physically stop me from solving as many of the world’s problems as possible.
