Happy #Juneteenth y'all! Certainly this is a day of celebration, but we need to also recognize that state sanctioned #slavery is alive and well in the #USA. The 13th amendment allows slavery for those convicted of a crime. Ending #forcedlabor isn't enough! We need #prisonabolition now!

Here is a handy #approximation of 2, in case you ever need it!
Depicts a numeric equation in black on a white background. The left hand side is an exponent where the base is the sum of 1 and the quotient of the natural logarithm of 2, and the exponent is 1000. The right hand side is 1.999519 followed by an ellipsis.

Landscape photograph in early afternoon on a bright Spring day with most of the sky blanketed by a bright white cloud cover. The subject is a large-in-frame, slightly mossy tree. The tree's roots are visible and extend from the base (mid-frame) to the lower left off-frame. The tree has a visible hole going entirely through the base with yellow-flowered foliage visible behind it. The same foliage is visible to the left near the middle of the frame, and to the right in the bottom right of the frame. The tree is angled towards the right as it rises from midway in the bottom-left panel up off-frame, ending up in the upper-right panel slightly near but to the right of the middle. The background is mostly bright cloud cover, with several thin deciduous trees slightly obscuring elements like a few of the calm, out-of-focus view of Puget Sound in the top-right panel. There is a noticeable break in the cloud cover in the top-left.

Photograph in the early afternoon on a sunny, Spring day focusing on pinkish flowers blooming in the middle and upper half of the frame. Behind that is a crosshatch-like web of thin branches. Behind that is an out-of-focus view of a pond in the lower third of the frame. The nearly cloudless sky is visible in the upper third of the frame.

Surely Chemistry textbooks need not describe elements greater in mass than Helium? Everybody knows about the superiority of explaining away the remaining 2% outside the Hydrogen-Helium binary with vague hand-waving or outright denial.

Exactly 0% of the natural, rational, real, and complex numbers have ever been uttered aloud. #proof in alt text.
Theorem: Let a be an element of the complex numbers equal to the cardinality of the set of complex numbers ever uttered aloud. Given any finite value of a, the percentage of complex numbers spoken is exactly equal to 0%. Proof: Lemma #1: The set of complex numbers ever spoken is a finite positive integer. The current scientific consensus in astrophysics is that the universe has existed for a finite amount of time, and thus the number of utterances of complex numbers must be finite. Additionally, it is plainly clear that this number must be positive. Lemma #2: The cardinality of the set of complex numbers ever spoken is representable in the complex numbers exactly. Due to lemma #1, we know that the set of spoken complex numbers is a finite positive integer, and thus also an element of the natural numbers. Because the set of natural numbers is a proper subset of the rationals, which in turn is a proper subset of the reals, which is also a proper subset of the complex numbers. Thus it is exactly equal to a finite element in the complex numbers. Lemma #3: For any element of the complex numbers a, the percentage of complex numbers spoken relative to the cardinality of the complex numbers as a whole is equal to the limit as b approaches infinity of a / b. Recall that percentage is the ratio of two numbers, say complex numbers x and y. For any x, it is true that x / y is a percentage, albeit omitting the multiplication by 100. If y is boundless, or in other words infinite, like the cardinality of the set of complex numbers, then we must evaluate the limit of x / y, where y approaches infinity. Final Proof: Recalling lemma #3, the referenced limit evaluates to exactly 0, or 0%, for all finite numerators. Given that the numerator x is finite, the finite x divided by the boundless y has the limit of exactly 0, which is exactly equal to 0%. Q.E.D.

#darkmode saves lives!
A 5 panel comic. First panel: Depicting two detectives and a serial killer suspect in handcuffs. The junior detective says, "Wow chief! How did you know that he was the serial killer?" Second panel: The chief detective opens a door that says "Do Not Enter", and he says, "Look what I found in his room!" Third panel: The junior and Chief detective look into the room, full of blood, skeletons, and guns. Fourth panel: Just the detectives are visible, and the chief detective says, "See?" Fifth panel: A computer takes up most of the panel, depicting black text on a white background on its screen. The chief detective's arm is visible, and, pointing at the screen, he says, "He codes on a bright background". The other detective's head is visible, and he responds, "Dang".

In terms of time, human civilization is incredibly insignificant relative to the age of Earth. Imagine Earth's age (~4.54 billion years old) spread over a 365 day calendar year. At 11:59:08.6 PM on December 31st is when the first civilizations in Mesopotamia started (~7,400 years ago). #perspective

I need me a fairy godpossum right about now. Artist unknown.
Artist's depiction of a possum with fake wings strapped around its torso, wearing a conical blue hat, and carrying a wand. The background is very colorful—almost rainbow-like—with muted, almost pastel-like colors—not unlike a tie-dye shirt. The dark, red-brown text says, "It is I, your Fairy Godpossum…"
