Children should never be driven into racist violence to clear debts or do the bidding of criminals. What we’re seeing is not “community protection”, it is child abuse, grooming and exploitation.
Ten of those arrested in Belfast last week were children. The youngest was 12.

I’m so thankful for Chris strong stance on this. I remember when @wiseabap.bsky.social and I went to testify in Westminster 3 years ago and I said to the MPs “I’m sure you already know this but young people are exploited into riotous behaviour to clear drug debt” they didn’t know. 1/3

In Ballymena last PSNI chief constable said he saw paramilitaries “standing there amongst the people who cause this violence.”

Feeling a little triggered by people on their soapbox. I have witnessed the best of us in the worst of times. Using resources and contacts to get people to safety, contacting police on the ground to help rescue families. This should never happen however I’m thankful for the helpers when it does.

I’m not good on this platform. I will say this though some young people get involved in rioting and disorder for the craic etc but what are the conditions in place that enable that to happen. What about the coerced and groomed? Child criminal exploitation is what this is.
