A big thing WaPo's Ed Board is missing here is that the *WaPo Ed Board specifically* writing stuff like "Out of spite for President Donald Trump ..." is *part of why* Canada is responding the way it is. Major US papers refusing to even engage with Canada's perspective is itself part of the hedge
