Well, since you asked:

We got another football breakdown, this time a touchdown from Boston College against Rutgers! Bill O’Brien is an offensive mastermind, but I tried to break the play down to make it easy!

For the longest time, I was almost dreading the actual release of TES6, fearing how they'd end up butchering the legacy of a series so uniquely special to me, but at this point... I just want to get it over with.

It's gonna be bad, and everyone with any sense knows it. Rip the bandaid off already.
The Witcher 4 is accidentally the funniest game of all time despite not being out yet because it means three Poles with a potato and a dream were able to make not one but two AAA fantasy RPGs before Todd made TES VI.

"It's an isolated malfunction, not a poignant encapsulation of the apparatus of disciplines arrayed in pursuit of accelerating autonomous technologies as fast as possible, without considering what the point of a sprint is if you're on fire when you stop moving."
Robot Olympics runner bravely sprints headfirst into wall and collapses in shower of sparks, is not a metaphor
This is not an event imbued with meaning.

I like your Marx, I do not like your Marxists. Your Marxists are so unlike your Marx.
This is one area where orthodox Marxism is genuinely more useful. The distinction is between people who make the bulk of their income through wage labor and those whose income is through capital ownership. The janitor has more in common with the HR person than either has with the CFO.

New from me: "Being engaged in videogames over the last decade has meant watching a cohort of publisher executives inherit an industry of products, professionals, and consumers they seem to actively resent for failing to produce instant, infinite profits."
Does anyone know how to drive this thing?
It's increasingly looking like nobody remembers how videogames work—or cares to.

Centrism is enthralled by the idea that politics can be reduced to finding the perfect overlap between the bell curves of public opinion and that you don't need to actually do politics.

I want it on the record that everyone better than me at a game is a sweaty tryhard loser and everyone worse than me at a game is a pathetic no-skill scrub. I and I alone have reached the exact level of gaming proficiency that is morally acceptable.

If the Zuko vs Azula final battle wasn't fundamentally portrayed as the tragedy it is, it wouldn't work nearly as well

I should be more motivated to wrap this stupid degree up, but I confess the sheer arbitrary "fuck you, we know it's a logical contradiction and we do not care because there's nothing you can do about it" aspect of politics these days makes a life of the mind revolving around it feel farcical.
Slaughter is an earthquake: SCOTUS has overturned a 90-year-old precedent that facilitated much of modern governance by granting many agencies meaningful independence from the president. Now SCOTUS crushes that independence ... for seemingly every agency except the Federal Reserve.
