Doubling back because I'm genuinely mad about this. This isn't even an antiblack Welfare Queen dog whistle. It's a damn bullhorn.

Is Donald discovering that stealing Venezuelan oil to make up the shortfall isn't simple and requires time and infrastructure investment first, aside from said theft being cowardly, rank bandritry that only a sick Epsteinian dog like a Trump could call right 🤷‍♂️
Saudi Arabia is running out of options to export its vast oil reserves as attacks force its main pipeline shut while Iran and its allies cement their chokehold on the kingdom's two main maritime routes, analysts say. u.afp.com/SjXX

Anyone telling an author not to mention their books here can go fuck themselves

Also anyone telling anyone else how to run their own social media accounts can go fuck themselves too

If the way someone does their thing here bothers you, unfollow/mute/block them, but you don't get a vote otherwise
A Bluesky user has written to me to ask me to stop mentioning my books on here. I wonder... Should I continue trying my best to make a living in a tough world via the writing I've spent decades putting my heart & soul into?

Or should I obey them?

Nah. I'm going to continue mentioning my books.
It rained and stormed for most of my time in Rarotonga. Fortunately I had some books with me. “Everything will swallow you” by Tom Cox was my favourite. A beautiful written, meandering, lush story with characters that I want to have over for a feed and a wine. Amazing! @dj-acid-reflux.bsky.social

Population density dictates that we vaccinate or live with needless disease, suffering, and death.
Can't live like it's 1726, or there are simple and obvious consequences
Vaccines need to be mandatory for everyone who can medically get them and should.

Period.

And we're left wondering if Trump and his court of scheming power-hoarders actually intend to divide the union or if they're just following the standard fashy tyrant-bully playbook, thinking that obedience must follow unconstitutional abuse

The birdsong in the neighborhood is distinctly sunset. It's still 2 and 1/4 hours from sunset. There's a faint pink band around the lower third of the horizon, vaguely in the direction of Canada.

Not keeping your home in good condition has long range consequences. Like uncontrolled climate change.
