You can call me Sande. 30+. Queer. Disabled. Shameless krogan simp, amateur artist, equine historian. I write grants. Prone to infodumping into the void. There is a non-zero chance that I will talk about horses at some point.
This whole thread lol. But also I think reading RCG and then comparing against two of Opal's HR works, Spolia Victoris and Wolfbird, is very illuminating.
I planned to write and read FOR FUN today, but realized I hadn’t spent much time looking @ resources people kindly sent to help me learn to better identify AI output where fic should be. So I’ve printed out Rose-Colored Glasses chapter 1 (iykyk!) and I’m going to highlight lines that irk or bore me

Hey there #HeatedRivalry folks, just wanted to drop a line and add to the soup of discourse around #OpalApparition and #Wolfbird that myself and several others have discovered from examining OA's pre-HR works that she plagiarized at least (probably more) authors and passed them off as her own works

We recently spoke with the dockworkers in Genoa at the heart of the general strike movement in solidarity with the flotilla. They already held one strike on September 22nd, now they're gearing up for another.

tfw you really wanna play new games (Rogue Trader, Expedition 33) but you are unable to justify the expense while you are currently trying to get two mares in foal this year

Anyway, if you're looking for a single player game with characters with their own stories, and a chance to battle fantastic creatures in a physics playground and maybe I dunno, there's even smooching, who can say?!?
Might I recommend Eternal Strands now on Gamepass, Xbox S/X, PS5, Epic and Steam!

The amount of unilateral and unmitigated power a corporation like mumble mumble has over their employees in an industry like game dev, which remains largely ununionized, is disgusting. It's actually insane to me. We don't have real kings anymore but we do have people with king-like power.

GPOY of me trying to hold it together while everyone has a meltdown around me. GPOY of me trying to troubleshoot fixing the kiddo's computer, being NOT a computer savvy person, but apparently the most computer savvy person in this entire extended family. I breed horses and write things, please.,.,,.

Just a fun reminder that pretty much every country has laws that let them deny disabled people the opportunity to gain citizenship or pretty much move there from abroad in almost any capacity.

Happy new year, everybody! I'm ringing it in with pneumonia and whooping cough, which is, I suspect, rather unideal. But it's fine. I've been essaying and it feels really good to be writing critical analysis and argumentative essays again. Love exercising my brain like this even when unwell :)

I think what is frustrating to me the most about #DATV is that there's a lot of writing nuggets of gold (and some stinkers, too, lbr, but that's always the case), but it's generally missing a certain je ne sais quoi that ties it all together. Emmrich's story in particular really frustrates me.

#veilguardspoilers also i think collectively as a fandom we should decide to make "Emmlich" a thing we say

#veilguardspoilers One thing I am frustrated by is that I really wish we'd gotten to see Lucanis/Spite foil/parallel Anders/Justice and callback to conversations between Justice and Nathaniel Howe, and have it all reflect back on a spirit of wisdsom who has been bound to a body.

#veilguardspoilers Yeah this kinda sums it up for me. I'm a little unhappy with what we ultimately got, and I think the story of Solas and Mythal relies a lot on essentially ignoring the existing ancient elves as well as Solas' elven followers, but. With the writing as it is, it works.
i have complicated thoughts on mythal but you have to pay me $10 to unlock my opinion so instead here's shitty memes
