Complaint inspired by a conversation elsewhere: If you are a recipe site offering me a recipe for what you claim is a "complete one-pot meal" and the recipe does not contain vegetables beyond a can of tomato sauce, that is not a complete one-pot meal and you should take it back to the drawing board

My great-grandfather James Solomon served for six months in an Ohio regiment in 1864-1865. During the time he served in it, it suffered one death due to enemy fire and 56 due to disease, probably typhus. He was lucky; he was wounded by a Confederate bullet but didn't get sick.
