Excellent tour of mundane locations in suburban, north-east, Bristol. Would make a great walk, especially as it features a couple of pubs
This is wonderful - Steve Box visiting all the locations Trap Door was made in and talking about his experiences on the show ❤️ - youtu.be/oQX9zQmCLIM?...

One of R. V. Jones great discoveries was that poppyheads could be used instead of conventional "Window" chaff, saving considerable quantities of aluminium.

Meet the destroyer HMS Glowworm. In April 1940 she was forced to fight the German Heavy Cruiser Admiral Hipper, ten times her size, and Hipper's destroyer escorts.

Her extraordinary last stand earned her captain the first Victoria Cross of WW2. In part because THE GERMANS nominated him for one /1 🧵

I can still remember the sound the air conditioning would make as it wound down during a power cut, then silence, signifying that if you hadn't recently saved your work on the PC, it was lost
there are three noises that always get my attention with a true anxious clenching of my entire body

1) a tiny child's crying
2) a puppy whining
3) that BIOS beep when a PC boots up and there's a BIOS issue or it bluescreens
