here's a fun rec. Rogue (2020). A bad movie (I'd say worse than madame web). But one person is actually trying and acting on screen. And that person is the miscast Megan Fox.
I don't buy her as a marine for a second. But she tries. More than anyone else involved in that film. Great with a 🥂 group.

A glorious time.
Death on the Nile (2022) - 6/10 : Liked it. I think the script was better in the original
Haunted Mansion (2023) - 7/10 : As fun as the trailers made it look
Werewolves Within (2021) - 8/10 : put this off too long. It was fantastic

My controversial take. I get picking your family over people who aren't your family. Push comes to shove. I'd argue we all do it. Thing is, they don't have to choose. No one is forcing you to choose. This psycho sounds almost HAPPY to make the choice. like Sophie's Choice and then you get PSL after.
![Ending arc from The Good Son (1993). Pictured Macaulay Culkin as Henry (L) and Elijah Wood as Mark (R). Susan (Wendy Crewson) must choose which child (her son [L] or her nephew [R]) to save as her strength wanes trying to hold them both.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:q2qdpvnq6aj7eceb2b6xwwiv/bafkreihr5nc4zgwq35geq2h2ls7usa7uf6e5bghgxhoar7gulakqmusz44)

It's pure idiocy over there. They constantly and consistently cite "DEI hires" every time someone isn't white. And yet there was a movie (Haunted Mansion 2023) where they gave it a pass because "it wasn't based on a story with which char like The Little Mermaid or Snow White". Found a few examples.

I just discovered a website that reviews movies on a
"woke or worth it" scale. It's sad and hilarious at the same time.

Amy Winehouse - Frank. It may not be the best album of all time but it's certainly up there.
Various Artists - Dead Presidents Soundtrack. I've never seen the movie. I need to but holy wow is this soundtrack peak.

They're showing *They Live* at the theatre. I think I'll go. I haven't seen it yet and I haven't watched the trailer in years. At this point I only vaguely remember what it's about. Should be fun. I wish I had something cool planned because right now it looks like it's going to be JUST ME in there.
