I think it's closer to the truth that LLMs *can* save time on *some tasks* which can be valuable *if* you monitor them and check their output. But that doesn't get you a trillion dollars so they have to squint into the middle distance and say stupid sci fi bullshit instead

Hey just so everyone knows ICE is about to start gunning so many people down in the street that you won't hear about all of them. The press won't cover it and the politicians won't do anything but give speeches like this one here. This is the exponential escalation. it's been curving up for awhile
